About The Farm
Our Website

While the farm sits on the farmer’s 20-acre plot, less than two acres is in field production. Bio-Intensive market gardening is defined as using high-rotation of crops on an un-tilled field in frequent succession. In a quick phrase, LOTS of labor, but for overwhelming yields of farm-fresh vegetables.

What We Grow

Texas Frontier Farm’s market garden is grown using natural methods. While we are not certified organic, we grow with very similar practices. All of our seeds that we grow to mature plants are non-GMO, either Organic, Hybrid, or Heirloom, and we use quality suppliers for premium seeds. The plants will never be sprayed with pesticides, or weed-controlling chemicals. Fabric mesh and natural oils are used for insect control, while flame-weeding, hoeing and mulch for weed pressure. The farm opts to use natural systems, like no tilling and cover crops to stimulate good microbe climates and to keep the vitamin levels in the soil prime.

Seeds and plants go into the grown by hand, individually cared for daily, and brought to the consumer with a lot of laughs, love, and healing blisters.

Mission

Our mission, at Texas Frontier Farm, is to provide nutrient-dense produce to our North-East Texas community in both direct-to-consumer farmer’s markets and to our local chefs and grocers. We personally hold to high standards growing with sustainable environmental practices and will actively participate in soil and climate enrichment. Together, we will collaborate with and educate our community on the unseen complications of modern agriculture. Our farm aims to establish lifelong neighborhood friendships while bringing forth value-aligned products.
